Tego BioSciences is developing and commercializing therapeutics based on modified fullerenes. The patent protected platform forms the basis for several different products. The company is initially focused on commercializing products to treat central nervous system disorders such as stroke. Through its partnership with the National Cancer Institute, Tego is also developing products to reduce the side effects of radiation therapy and chemotherapy. For other applications of the technology such as skin creams and arthritis, Tego will license its intellectual property to third parties.
